Their junky, lousy appearance clashes with a future narrative of an ever more accelerated, optimized global mobility. Demanding a different temporality, the sweaty act of beating, bending and forging of metal leaves space for a rethinking of our relationships to individual labour and production in times of capitalist production and heavily automated construction industies.
